The Rode VideoMic GO on-camera microphone is designed for professional capture of clear and directional audio during video recording and vlogging. Its compact and lightweight design allows easy mounting on cameras without additional adjustments, providing convenience even during extended shoots.
The microphone features a supercardioid polar pattern that focuses sound on the subject, reducing background noise and unwanted ambient sounds. The integrated Rycote® Lyre® suspension minimizes the impact of handling noise and vibrations, delivering stable and clean audio.
The Rode VideoMic GO requires no batteries and is powered directly from the camera's external microphone input. Constructed from durable thermoplastic, it ensures longevity and resistance to mechanical damage, while the built-in windshield allows comfortable outdoor use.
The microphone transmits audio in mono via a 3.5mm Mini Jack cable, has a frequency response of 100–16,000 Hz, a sensitivity of -35 dB, maximum SPL of 120 dB, and a signal-to-noise ratio of 60 dB, making it suitable for high-quality audio recording for any video project.
