Sennheiser MKH 8050 is a professional supercardioid condenser microphone designed for recording soloists, large instruments such as the grand piano, and orchestras. Thanks to its supercardioid polar pattern, it provides greater isolation from off-axis sounds than its cardioid counterpart, making it an optimal choice for sources requiring high acoustic separation.
The frequency range from 30 to 50,000 Hz allows capturing every nuance of sound with maximum accuracy and naturalness. The symmetrical transducer with two backplates provides extremely low distortion, while the low self-noise preserves detail and dynamics even in quiet passages.
The microphone features a modular design, making it convenient for use and transport. Its Nextel anti-reflective coating helps it remain unobtrusive during filming or stage work.
