The Audio-Technica AT4080 is a next-generation ribbon microphone that combines the warmth and smoothness of classic ribbon sound with modern reliability and high performance. Featuring patented MicroLinear™ technology, its dual ribbons offer exceptional durability, and its ultra-powerful N50 rare earth magnets deliver high sensitivity and detail.

Active phantom-powered electronics stabilize the output signal level, allowing the AT4080 to work with any microphone preamplifier without the need for the amplification associated with traditional ribbon microphones. The bi-directional (figure-of-eight) polar pattern captures sound evenly from the front and rear, providing spatial depth and natural timbre reproduction.

Thanks to its baffle system and special output transformer, the AT4080 features an extended frequency response and natural low-frequency response. The open enclosure design minimizes internal reflections, and the ultra-thin protective mesh prevents tape damage. Hand-assembly, including corrugation and tape mounting, guarantees the impeccable quality of each unit.
