The Sennheiser EW-DX EM 2 (Q1-9) receiver comes in a compact all-metal half-rack housing, providing reliable performance even in demanding RF environments thanks to true diversity reception technology.
The receiver supports up to 88 MHz of switching bandwidth and operates in two modes: Standard (up to 146 channels) or Link Density mode (up to 293 channels). The equidistant channel grid and AutoScan function greatly simplify frequency management, allowing quick setup of optimal operating parameters.
EW-DX EM 2 is equipped with an OLED display and an intuitive control interface with a jog wheel and navigation buttons, making operation straightforward and efficient. For local monitoring, a headphone output with volume control is located on the front panel. Extended menu options include custom frequency lists, selectable sync parameters, and coverage walk tests.
Special attention has been given to networking capabilities. The receiver features an Ethernet port supporting IPv4 and IPv6 protocols and is compatible with Sennheiser Control Cockpit and Wireless Systems Manager software. This enables remote monitoring, control, and integration into complex setups, including support for third-party media control systems. Bluetooth Low Energy also allows convenient operation via the Smart Assist mobile app at distances of up to 25 meters.
The system ensures secure data transmission with AES-256 encryption, which is especially critical for confidential presentations or broadcasts. Power options include an external 12V/1A supply or Power over Ethernet (PoE, IEEE 802.3af Class 3), making installation highly flexible.
Note: When purchasing individual wireless components, please ensure that their frequency ranges match for proper system operation. The Sennheiser EW-DX EM 2 (Q1-9) operates in the 470.2 - 550 MHz frequency range!
