The Yamaha Dante-MY16-AUD2 expansion card is a special card that enables the integration of a Yamaha mixer, processor or amplifier into a Dante network. It works according to the Yamaha Mini-YGDAI standard and instantly allows you to use the Dante protocol. The Dante-MY16-AUD2 provides 16 bidirectional audio channels (8 at 96kHz sampling rate) and full audio redundancy in a Dante network via Gigabit Ethernet.
This card supports sample rates of 44.1 and 88.2 kHz, in addition to the previously supported 48 and 96 kHz. With upsampling/downsampling, audio can be synchronized with frame-rate converted video. Dante-MY16-AUD2 cards can be daisy-chained through the secondary Ethernet connector.
The card has two RJ-45 connectors for Dante I/O, as well as one D-sub 9-pin connector for RS232-C. The delay can be selected from five preset values: 0.25ms, 0.5ms, 1.0ms, 2.0ms or 5.0ms.
In addition, multiple Dante-MY16-AUD2 cards can transmit more than 16 audio channels. The card also has automatic detection and configuration of network devices, as well as the ability to specify device names as needed.
