The Midas DN4816-O expansion module is a modern solution for connecting additional line outputs in professional audio systems. With 16 balanced analog outputs, the device is ideal for in-ear monitoring (IEM) systems, as well as for connecting to FOH consoles. Through the Ultranet interface, the DN4816-O provides transmission of up to 16 digital channels in high quality, simplifying integration with Behringer AIR mixers, P16 monitoring systems or Turbosound loudspeakers.
StageConnect technology opens up a new era of audio transmission: a single standard XLR or DMX cable can transmit up to 32 channels of 24-bit PCM audio at a frequency of 48 kHz and a latency of less than 0.5 ms. StageConnect not only transmits audio in two directions, but can also supply up to 18 watts of power through the same cable. This approach makes the connection as simple and stable as possible, even with long cable lines of up to 40 meters.
The Midas DN48XX series devices, including the DN4816-O, can be easily daisy-chained to create customized input and output configurations. This allows you to build scalable systems without the need for additional network switches or complex settings. Automatic SC bus configuration adapts signal routing to each connection, ensuring flawless compatibility of all elements of the StageConnect ecosystem.
The Midas DN4816-O supports power from a 12 V DC adapter or directly via StageConnect. Each master device in the system can power the connected modules, which reduces the number of cables and increases system reliability. For accurate planning and testing of chains, the StageConnect Calculator (SSC Tool) software is provided, which helps optimize cable lengths, power distribution and audio routing.
