Stagebox Soundcraft Compact Stagebox OPTICAL

Soundcraft Compact Stagebox Optical is a versatile rack-mounted expansion unit for Soundcraft Vi and Si series digital mixers, providing convenient and flexible connectivity to consoles via optical or Cat5 MADI interface. It is ideal for expanding input and output capacity in stage and studio setups.

In its standard configuration, the Stagebox includes 32 analog mic/line inputs, 8 analog line outputs, and 8 AES/EBU digital outputs, with the flexibility to reconfigure as needed. Thanks to its modular design and support for Studer D21m expansion cards, the unit can easily adapt to various digital formats such as CobraNet®, AVIOM A-Net®16, Ethersound, ADAT, and RockNet. A MADI interface for recording can also be installed.

The compact 4U chassis features two expansion slots that allow for additional modules—for example, replacing the output module with a 16-input module increases input capacity to 48 channels. The total number of I/O channels is limited by the MADI connection to 64 inputs and 64 outputs simultaneously.

The Stagebox shares compatible I/O modules with the Soundcraft Vi1 console, allowing modules to be interchanged between the console and the Stagebox as required. For instance, an output module from the Stagebox can be installed in the Vi1 console to replace a 16-channel output card.

The device includes dual redundant power supplies, thermostatically controlled fan cooling, full LED status monitoring, and a built-in 8-channel GPIO interface. With its robust design and extensive integration capabilities, the Compact Stagebox Optical is a powerful solution for scaling audio systems in large venues, theaters, studios, and other professional installations.
