The Behringer XENYX 502S mixing console is a functional tool for streaming, podcasting, and recording. It is equipped with individual microphone inputs with a discrete circuit, which provides high efficiency in getting rid of microphone noise in the frequency range from 22 Hz to 22 kHz. Thanks to this, an extremely low noise level is achieved.
The XENYX 502S can be connected to computers or mobile devices via USB, making it much easier to integrate digital sources with analog equipment. It has one mono and two stereo channels, allowing you to mix up to 5 signals and feed them to a stereo RCA input and a stereo USB input.
The microphone input has an extended frequency range, from 10 Hz to 150 kHz with +10 dB gain and from 20 Hz to 70 kHz with +60 dB gain. The mono line input has a balanced 1/4" TRS jack. The gain range is from -10 dB to +40 dB, and the maximum input level at neutral gain is +21 dBu. For connecting stereo signals, there are balanced jack inputs 1 /4" TRS, providing a frequency range from 20 Hz to 200 kHz. The maximum input level at neutral amplification reaches +21 dBu. The mixer also has an analog input for STREAM sources on unbalanced RCA connectors. The main mix, monitor, and effects outputs are equipped with 1/4" TRS connectors. The headphone output is also 1/4" TRS.
The controls offer knobs to adjust the signal. For the first mono channel, volume, gain, and pan control are available, as well as a 2-band equalizer that adjusts low frequencies at 80 Hz and high frequencies at 12 kHz in the range of ±15 dB. For 2 and 3 stereo channels, left and right channel volume and balance adjustments (pans) are available. The panel also features mix level indicators, headphone and mix volume knobs, and buttons for routing the STREAM signal to the headphone or mix output.
To connect to a computer, USB Type-B is used, which supports signal transmission with a sampling rate of 48 kHz, 16 bits, and provides compatibility with UAC2 Class for stereo input/output. The mixing console consumes 8 W of electricity and is powered by an adapter with an input current of 100-240 V~, 50/60 Hz, 0.5 A. Due to its compact dimensions (47 x 134 x 177 mm) and weight (1.2 kg), this mixer is an excellent choice for use in confined spaces.
