CL mixing consoles from Yamaha are known for their clarity of sound and quality. Available in 48-, 64-, and 72-channel models, these consoles provide excellent, natural sound, as well as a wide range of options for "coloring" the sound. The intuitive layout and familiar controls make the creative process effortless, while every single component is expertly designed to guarantee the highest quality audio performance.
The Yamaha CL1 is a compact digital mixing console designed for professional use in recording, live performance, television and other audiovisual applications. This console became part of the famous Yamaha CL series of digital mixers.
Thanks to its compact size, the CL1 is ideal for applications with limited space, while still maintaining the high level of functionality and sound quality characteristic of Yamaha digital mixing consoles.
Creative solutions at every step
The CL series mixing consoles from Yamaha provide high-quality sound and a wide range of "colors" that provide extreme creative freedom. High-quality signal processors, including the outstanding Portico 5033/5043 equalizers and compressors, which combine Yamaha VCM technology with the legendary skills of Rupert Neave. With the Yamaha CL1, the engineer can create and deliver the perfect sound.
Universal networking capabilities for scaling
The CL series consoles feature discrete components and input/output (I/O) racks that communicate using the Dante™ audio protocol, allowing systems of varying complexity to be designed and implemented quickly and efficiently. The ability to add Lake® processing via expansion slots also extends the system's versatility and adaptability to the widest range of mixing needs.
The sound engineer can easily expand the system by adding or changing components according to his needs. You can increase the number of input or output channels, connect various equipment to the network via the Dante™ protocol to further expand the system's capabilities.
A digital approach to achieve analog quality
The CL series mixing consoles feature virtual circuit simulation (VCM) of the famous Neve Portico 5033 EQ and Portico 5043 compressor/limiter, developed in close collaboration with Rupert Neve Designs. Also included is a large assortment of other EQs, VCM compressors and high-quality studio effects. Effective, intuitive work is essential. Developed at Yamaha, VCM is a circuit simulation concept that efficiently simulates the smallest characteristics of individual circuit components, including capacitors and resistors, resulting in amazingly realistic circuit simulations that easily outperform traditional digital simulations. However, accuracy is not the only important characteristic considered. Musicality is also important, and VCM modeling provides both.
Touch display
The 10-inch touchscreen display in the Yamaha CL1 mixing console is an intuitive interface that allows operators to easily and conveniently manage various sound parameters and console settings. Thanks to touch technology, users can quickly and easily interact with various on-screen elements, such as controls, buttons and menus.
The touchscreen display provides a large and bright high-resolution screen that makes it easy to use even in low-light conditions. Users can quickly view and change settings.
The CL1 display provides greater convenience and efficiency, making the mixing process more accessible and simple for sound engineers and operators.
Ergonomic faders
The faders and controls on the Yamaha CL1 mixing console are noted for their attention to detail in form and function. Even the smallest aspects are taken into account to ensure maximum user comfort and efficiency.
The faders feature sleek knobs that feature anti-slip inserts that provide the perfect amount of resistance for smooth, seamless volume transitions. This allows sound engineers to easily and precisely control sound levels. In addition, the edges of the knobs are designed to provide a clear view of the fader scale from any viewing angle. This makes working with the faders convenient even with limited visibility or when quickly switching between channels.
The controls on the CL1 are ergonomically designed to allow operators to easily make adjustments while providing maximum comfort during long audio mixing sessions.
Direct access to the necessary parameters
Direct access to the necessary parameters is one of the key features of Yamaha CL1 mixer consoles. This feature allows operators to quickly and directly access the necessary settings and parameters of each channel or signal path.
With this direct access, users can quickly react to changes in sound conditions or momentary demands by adjusting levels, EQs, compressors and other audio parameters in real time.
Virtually any console variable can be assigned to four User Defined Buttons for direct and instant access. Another advanced control feature is the selection of your own set of knobs, allowing you to instantly remap the knobs in each section as needed.
Dante for fast and flexible networking
The complexity and variety of today's recording systems make fast and adaptive setup crucial. Because the highest level of audio performance is required, the CL series consoles use the Dante network protocol developed by Audinate. This allows flexible connection to multiple I/O units that can be configured and positioned according to application needs, while providing redundancy for higher reliability.
Up to eight I/O units
Dante directly supports star network configurations, so up to eight I/O units can be connected to any single CL Series console and placed conveniently where needed most. A few simple DIP switch settings are all it takes to switch to a network connection as needed.
