The SQ-6 mixing console is based on the revolutionary Allen&Heath XCVI 96 kHz FPGA processor, delivering class-leading high-resolution audio with signal latency as low as 0.7 ms. The SQ-6 has 24 built-in preamps and 25 faders. The console can handle 48 inputs through a wide variety of expansion racks, and has an optional network card slot for Dante, MADI, Waves, and other formats, expanding system integration capabilities, FoH/monitor separation, and multi-channel recording.
The built-in SQ-Drive makes it easy to record 96 kHz stereo and multi-channel audio directly to USB media. The SQ can also be connected to a PC or Mac via USB, operating as a plug 'n play Core Audio or ASIO audio interface (32x32) with MIDI and DAW control capabilities. Allen & Heath's built-in DEEP signal processing architecture allows you to use emulators of boutique compressors or preamps and add them to the SQ mixer directly into its inputs and buses without additional system latency or misconfiguration. The SQ also has a fully integrated Automatic Mic Mixer (AMM), which will be invaluable when dubbing conferences, discussions, and TV shows.
The SQ's user interface features a capacitive touchscreen with a set of illuminated rotary encoders. The layout of channels and mixes on the console can be changed and configured to suit the engineer's work habits, and color displays and selectable names are provided for each channel strip. The SQ-6 is equipped with 16 user soft keys, making it possible to further customize the mixer to suit your needs.
SQ is the foundation of an ecosystem of control applications, remote expansion racks, network cards, and personal mixers, enhancing system expandability and integration. The SLink port allows you to connect Allen&Heath 96 kHz expansion racks or 48 kHz racks to SQ mixers, as well as connect to another SQ and even to a dLive system.
