The RME ADI-2/4 Pro SE is a high-quality digital-to-analog converter (DAC) with features designed for professional use and the most demanding audiophiles. This device is an improved version of the previous models of the ADI-2 series, with significantly improved characteristics and a new circuit. Thanks to modern technology, the ADI-2/4 Pro SE provides outstanding sound quality and advanced possibilities for processing and converting audio signals.
The device has two analog inputs and four analog outputs, which allows efficient signal processing. High-quality 32-bit/768 kHz converters provide a signal-to-noise ratio of up to 123 dBA, which guarantees the purest sound without any distortion. The inputs are represented by combined XLR/TRS connectors, and the outputs can be both balanced (via XLR) and unbalanced (via TRS).
On the front panel of the device, there are two outputs for headphones, which provide up to 3.4 W per channel when using a balanced connection. This allows you to work with both high-quality and sensitive headphones, including a mode for IEMs (in-canal monitors). The headphone outputs are equipped with a balanced 4.4mm Pentaconn jack and standard 6.3mm TRS jacks, providing connectivity versatility.
The ADI-2/4 Pro SE supports optical SPDIF/ADAT, coaxial SPDIF, and AES3. This allows the device to be easily integrated into any professional studio or home audio system. Thanks to the USB 2.0 interface, the device is compatible with iOS, macOS, Windows 10, and Linux, making it universal for various operating systems.
One of the features of this DAC is the RIAA mode, which allows you to directly digitize vinyl discs with the highest quality, without the need for external preamplifiers. This feature makes the unit ideal for vinyl enthusiasts looking to convert their collection to digital.
The ADI-2/4 Pro SE is equipped with a powerful DSP that provides the ability to adjust the equalizer, quickly adjust the low and high frequencies, as well as the Crossfeed function to simulate the sound of speakers in headphones. The device also has a bright IPS display that displays the signal level, a spectrum analyzer, and other parameters that allow you to easily monitor the operation of the device. The kit comes with a convenient remote control that provides quick access to the main functions.
