Direct box (d-box) Behringer DI100

The Behringer ULTRA-DI DI100 active direct box is an indispensable tool for the stage and studio, designed to ensure a clean and flawless signal transmission. Its main task is to convert the unbalanced signal from an instrument, such as a guitar, bass, or keyboard, into a balanced signal for a mixing console. By doing this, the DI100 ensures that the instrument's authentic sound reaches the listener without noise or interference.

The DI100 is distinguished by its extraordinary versatility. It is equipped with a combination input (¼" TRS and XLR) and a balanced XLR output. A unique feature is the ability to connect the device directly to the speaker output of a guitar amplifier rated up to 3,000 watts, allowing you to send a perfect signal to the console. For on-stage monitoring, a LINK output (¼" jack) is provided, which sends the input signal to a combo amp unaltered.

The direct box is equipped with a built-in switchable attenuator, allowing it to handle input levels of up to +50 dB without distortion. An important function is the Ground Lift switch, which effectively breaks ground loops to eliminate unwanted hum and buzz. At the heart of the device is the high-quality Behringer OT-1 output transformer, which provides galvanic isolation and crystal-clear signal transfer.

The device features a rugged aluminum case with rubber corners that protect it from damage and allow for stacking multiple units. The DI100 can be powered by either a battery or phantom power from a mixing console.
