Direct-Box (DI-Box) ART AV Direct

ART AV Direct is the ideal solution for connecting a variety of devices to a single XLR microphone input. This direct box provides a seamless connection between stereo iPods, laptops, DVD players, audio equipment and video equipment with a microphone input. Unlike standard adapter cables or DI boxes, the ART AV Direct can accept virtually any input connection and output level (including amplified speaker outputs) and offers remote volume control. This device is ideal for adjusting the volume of an output device directly at the source, eliminating the need to adjust the volume in the audio room or on a mounted rack. The ART AV Direct features a high-pass filter switch with ground release and variable level control, allowing you to effectively filter out any excess noise and provide variable volume control at the source. All speaker input signals are significantly attenuated and transformer-isolated from the XLR output, allowing you to connect amplified speaker signals (up to 100 watts at 8 ohms) and pass them to the microphone input.
