The ART T8 direct box is a high quality passive audio interface that uses 8 transformers to separate the input and output ground signals, thereby isolating the two systems and reducing noise. The ART T8 audio transformers have a flat and wideband frequency response and can handle high signal levels while maintaining an isolated, balanced output. This gives the ART T8 a very clear and neutral sound with a wide range of signal sources. The transformers are wound for 1:1 unity gain and are designed for use with resistances from 600 ohms to 100 kohms.
The variety of connections separates ART T8 from other isolation boxes. The ART T8 provides balanced XLR, 1/4" phone and RCA-type phono connections on all inputs and outputs simultaneously. The ART T8 fits seamlessly into virtually any audio system and provides a clean connection point between all types of systems.
The ART T8's mounting lugs can be flipped to have XLR on the front panel or 1/4" and RCA phono connectors on the front panel. This maximizes the flexibility in connecting your system. If you need an interface between a computer-based audio station and your monitor system, isolation on long cable runs in a permanent installation, isolation of multiple signal sources from your recording equipment, or in many cases simply a secure connection between two audio systems, the ART T8 is easy will manage
