The ART ZDirect™ direct box is a high-quality passive interface that allows you to connect instrumental, line or dynamic signals to a mixer or other balanced input via a high-performance audio isolation transformer. The transformer converts the high-impedance single-ended 1/4″ input into an isolated, low-impedance balanced source. The ART ZDirect™ audio transformer has an extremely flat and wideband frequency response and can handle high signal levels while maintaining an isolated, low impedance balanced output. This gives ART ZDirect™ a very clear and neutral sound with a wide variety of signal sources and over long distances in high noise environments.
The Input Attenuator switches allow you to use a wide range of signal levels, and the Input Thru connector allows you to tap a signal from your signal chain. The Ground Lift switch allows you to completely separate the input and output signal masses if necessary to isolate the two systems and reduce hum and closed-loop ground noise.
The compact black anodized aluminum enclosure and its passive design allow the Zdirect to provide years of trouble-free performance in live sound, permanent/fixed installations, DJs, and virtually any audio equipment application.
