Direct Box (DI-Box) Radial PZ-DI

The Radial PZ-DI is a variable-load active DI box specially designed for acoustic and orchestral instruments. With selectable input impedance and an adjustable low-pass filter, it provides accurate reproduction of any instrument - from acoustic guitars and violins to banjos and double basses.

The main feature of the PZ-DI is the input impedance switch (10MΩ/1MΩ/220kΩ), which allows for optimized operation with both piezo and magnetic pickups. The high impedance of 10MΩ is specifically designed for piezoelectric pickups, softening their harshness, while 1MΩ corresponds to standard active DI boxes, and 220kΩ gives magnetic pickups a warmer tone by simulating an amplifier connection.

To eliminate unwanted resonance and control low frequencies, an adjustable low-pass filter is provided, allowing the PZ-DI to be flexibly adapted to the frequency range of a particular instrument. A high-pass cutoff switch helps smooth out excessive brightness on acoustic guitars with active battery-powered preamps.

The PZ-DI is powered by 48V phantom power, eliminating the need for batteries or adapters and making it an ideal choice for live use. The built-in analog preamplifier with low-noise FET stage provides a wide dynamic range (105 dB) and minimal distortion (0.02%), preserving the natural detail and warmth of the instrument.
