Converter Klark Teknik DN9620

The Klark Teknik DN9620 is a professional solution for significantly extending AES50 standard digital audio networks. This converter is designed to overcome the 100-meter limitation imposed by CAT5 cables, allowing audio signals to be transmitted over long distances without quality loss. By using a pair of DN9620 units, you can easily connect an FOH console to stageboxes up to 500 meters away with a single multimode fiber optic cable, making it ideal for large concert venues, festivals, and fixed installations.

The device operates as a bidirectional multiplexer, combining two independent AES50 streams (up to 96 channels at 48 kHz or 48 channels at 96 kHz in total) into a single transmission channel. The system is completely transparent in operation and introduces a minimal latency of just 270 microseconds, which is entirely unnoticeable in real-world conditions. This ensures the preservation of signal phase and time alignment, which is critically important for professional audio.

The DN9620 offers exceptional flexibility in synchronization setup. Using the front panel switches, you can easily select the clock source (internal generator, incoming AES50, or the snake line signal), as well as set the sample rate (48 or 96 kHz) and connection type (copper cable or fiber optic). LED indicators clearly display the current synchronization and setting status, providing convenient monitoring even from a distance.

The Klark Teknik DN9620 features a rugged half-rack 1U steel chassis. Reliable Neutrik etherCON and standard optical connectors ensure a stable connection night after night. A built-in universal power supply with auto-voltage sensing allows the device to be used in any country worldwide without additional converters. The package includes a pair of devices and an adapter for mounting in a standard 19-inch rack.
