The BSS Soundweb Contrio EC-8BV (US) (White) wall controller is a modern Ethernet controller designed for managing Harman HiQnet systems. The device is compatible with BSS Audio Soundweb London audio equipment, Crown DCi amplifiers, and other HiQnet devices. The controller features a compact white design and comes in a US Decora format for dual-gang mounting.

The EC-8BV is equipped with one programmable push/rotary encoder with an indicator ring, eight buttons, and two color LCD displays with a resolution of 64x128 pixels each. The buttons, encoder, and indicator ring support multicolor backlighting with eight selectable colors and adjustable brightness. This allows flexible display of various parameters, such as volume, mute status, or source selection.

The controller connects to a local network via Ethernet and is powered via PoE, simplifying installation without additional power cables. Configuration and programming are easily done through the intuitive HiQnet Audio Architect software using drag-and-drop controls.

The EC-8BV supports a sleep function that turns off backlighting after inactivity, reducing distractions in dark environments. For security, the controller can be locked remotely or locally via PIN code entry. Additionally, it supports multiple operating modes, allowing dynamic reassignment of button and encoder functions for different tasks.
