The Lexicon MX400 is a four-channel effects processor that combines Lexicon’s legendary sound quality with flexible software control. With a USB interface, the unit operates as a hardware plug-in in your DAW (VST/AU, 32-bit), allowing for full parameter automation and project recall without taxing your computer’s CPU.
The MX400 features 4 inputs and 4 outputs, supports up to two simultaneous effects per processor, and provides 223 factory presets, including 25 dedicated Surround programs. With MX-Edit™ software, users can easily save and edit presets directly from their computer.
The unit offers 17 effects including reverb, delay, chorus, flanger, compression, and dbx® de-essing. The front panel features a large LCD display and three dedicated knobs per processor for immediate control without deep menu diving.
Built for live use, the MX400 features a rugged construction resistant to dust, moisture, shock, and voltage fluctuations. Analog XLR/TRS inputs and outputs support levels up to +24 dBu. It includes S/PDIF digital I/O, MIDI connectivity, a footswitch input, and a per-channel Bypass function. With a high dynamic range (109 dB) and ultra-low distortion (<0.0019%), the MX400 delivers studio-grade sound both on stage and in the studio.
