Expression Control
Touch Block helps you adjust the expressive behavior of your Seaboard Block and Lightpad Block. Turn up or turn down the responsiveness of the surface to the Strike, Glide, Slide, Press, and Lift dimensions of touch. Maximize the depth of expression available through pressure, or minimize the pitch-bend effect of sideways movements. Customize your control of any sound in real time and on the fly.

Button functions

- Strike – Adjust the responsiveness of the Lightpad or Seaboard Block surfaces to the velocity of strike
- Glide – Adjust the responsiveness of the Lightpad or Seaboard Block surfaces to side-to-side movements, usually mapped to pitch
- Slide – Adjust the responsiveness of the Lightpad or Seaboard Block surfaces to up-and-down movements that open or close a variety of filters
- Press – Adjust the responsiveness of the Lightpad or Seaboard Block surfaces to continuous pressure
- Lift – Adjust the responsiveness of the Lightpad or Seaboard Block surfaces to the velocity of liftoff, which affects resonance
- Strike Lock – Fix strike velocity to a specific value that is adjustable through +/- controls
- Glide Lock – Automatically glide the pitch between one note and the next note played, and adjust through +/- controls. Also known as Portamento Mode
- Piano Mode – Remove all touch response except for Strike, so the surface behaves like a piano
- + / - – Add or subtract values to your selected parameter

Connect with a click
Touch Block connects with a click to Lightpad Block and Seaboard Block. Just lift one finger from your musical surface, and you can record and fine-tune tracks in real time. Connect it to any part of Lightpad Block or Seaboard Block — or not at all. Touch Block works wirelessly, even when it’s not physically connected.
