The JBL Control 28-1 is a powerful two-way installation speaker that combines high performance, wide dispersion, and exceptional reliability with a modern design. With a wide coverage of 100° x 100°, it is ideal for sound reinforcement in large rooms and open areas. This model provides an extended frequency range from 45 Hz to 20 kHz, a maximum sound pressure level of up to 113 dB, and an excellent sensitivity of 91 dB, ensuring clear, detailed sound with powerful bass even at high volumes.
The Control 28-1 features an 8-inch low-frequency driver with a woven fiberglass cone and butyl rubber surround protected by WeatherEdge™ technology, as well as a 1-inch tweeter with a PEI diaphragm and low-viscosity ferromagnetic fluid. This design ensures stable operation in all conditions, from music cafes and restaurants to educational institutions, shopping centers, and sports venues.
The system comes with a built-in transformer for connection to 100/70 V broadcast lines with taps at 60, 30, 15, and 7.5 W (70 V only), or it can operate in 8-ohm mode. IP-44 protection class provides basic resistance to dust and moisture, which can be increased to IP-55 with additional accessories. The high-strength polystyrene housing and powder-coated grille make the system resistant to sun, rain, salt, and temperature fluctuations.
