Landscape Acoustics JBL Control 85M

The JBL Control 85M is a high-quality, mushroom-shaped, two-way landscape speaker system designed for professional sound reinforcement in open spaces requiring 360-degree coverage and weather protection. It provides clear voice and music reproduction even in noisy environments such as parks, hotels, shopping malls, restaurants, resorts, or entertainment venues.

A high-frequency driver with a polyimide dome (0.75“) and a low-frequency driver with a polypropylene cone and polyurethane surround (5.25”) deliver clear and balanced sound across a wide frequency range of 55 Hz to 18 kHz. With a wide dispersion angle of 160° horizontally and a full 360° vertically, the system provides uniform coverage of large areas without the need for complex aiming.

The enclosure is made of thick-walled polyethylene (6 mm) and has an IP55 rating, providing reliable protection against dust, moisture, and mechanical damage. The design includes a multi-tap transformer for operation in 70/100 V lines with the option of switching to 8 ohms. The system is equipped with stainless steel connections, sealed cable entries, and ground mounting hardware.
