The JBL COL800 is an elegant 32-inch tall loudspeaker that provides wide horizontal and narrow vertical coverage. With a built-in 10° downward tilt for precise directional control, it provides optimal coverage for most listening areas, allowing the speaker to be mounted flat against a wall. The four drivers in the "flight track" format provide the maximum radiation area in a column form factor. The two discrete heads are positioned at the top of the array for less interfering coverage of the listening space and tilted downward by 10° to provide a tilted coverage direction, even when the loudspeaker is mounted flat against a wall.
Installation is extremely flexible thanks to the two included L-brackets, which can be mounted on the top and bottom panels (for horizontal directional adjustment) or on the side panels (for vertical tilt adjustment). Both positions allow the system to be installed close to the wall. Additionally, a low-profile rotating (horizontal) / wall tilt bracket is included to add up to 10° of downward tilt for directional adjustment (in addition to the built-in 10° downward tilt when the loudspeaker is mounted flat against the wall).
The COL800 is IP54-rated (according to IEC60529) for protection against dust and water ingress. The speakers are water-treated, the grille has a water-repellent layer, and a cover is included to protect the input terminals.
