All EVID premium ceiling loudspeaker models provide a unique combination of high acoustic power, excellent coverage control and wide dispersion to cover virtually any size listening area.
The Electro‑Voice EVID-PC8.2 (EN54) is a complete high performance two-way in-ceiling loudspeaker. The EVID PC8.2E comes fully assembled with an integrated frame, grille, rear cabinet, 8" (200mm) coaxial two-way driver, and an internal high power line transformer. The EVID PC8.2E uses a transformer that allows you to choose between 7.5W (70V only), 15W, 30W, or 60W delivered to the speaker through 70V or 100V lines, or bypassing 8 ohms. The choice is made using a convenient switch. The perforated grating is fully galvanized and semi-gloss white powder coated. The front panel and frame are made of flame retardant ABS plastic, while the back casing is made of galvanized thick steel. Rear cabinet with fiberglass damping material provides optimum internal volume for extended bass reproduction. A rear cover with openings for mounting a junction box provides access to a 4-pin terminal block that allows direct connection of wires up to 2.5 mm (12 AWG) to speakers and provides access to additional speakers. The rear entry cover for EN54, when properly installed, serves to create a seal that protects the ceiling loudspeaker from moisture and foreign particles. All EN54 installations must use a weatherproof terminal cover.
