The Dynacord FX20-PRO is a planar waveguide subwoofer featuring a powerful 18-inch Electro-Voice EVX 180B driver. The frequency response is 30 Hz - 150 Hz (-10 dB), so the crossover frequency with Mid-Hi cabinets can be selected to be strictly application-specific in the range of 80-140 Hz. The sub is equipped with an electronic circuit - voice coil protection, which detects the voltage at the transducer terminals and models the thermal behavior of the woofer's voice coil. In the event of possible thermal overload, the power supplied to the speaker is reduced to a safe level. To obtain maximum dynamic range without the risk of thermal overload in uncontrolled situations, power amplifiers up to 1200 W/8 ohms can be used. The voice coil guard has "soft" switching characteristics so annoying clicks or other noises are not heard. The circuit automatically resets once the voice coil temperature reaches a safe value. The FX20-PRO's body is made from 15mm birch plywood. All corner joints and brackets are grooved and glued. The body features a heavy-duty structured lacquer finish and an all-steel front grille that matches the latest Dynacord body design. The connector panel uses two 4-pole Speakon connectors (IN/OUT) for reliable connections and easy daisy chaining to other cabinets. When using Dynacord power amplifier racks or system amplifiers, the entire system can be connected using 4-pole Speakon cables without the risk of accidental wiring errors. The sub is equipped with eight large rubber feet that allow for easy stacking. Six handles and four powerful casters guarantee easy and safe transportation.
