The Ortofon Cadenza (Blue) cartridge features a body made from stainless steel and extruded aluminum. A small “cut” at the bottom provides access to the thin ruby cantilever, which offers the necessary stiffness and lightness, as well as excellent anti-resonance properties.
The cartridge is equipped with a diamond needle with a Nude Fritz Gyger FG 70 stylus, ensuring high reading accuracy and excellent sound quality. Thanks to the progressive technology of wire winding on the coil, made from pure silver 6NX (99.9999%), the cartridge demonstrates excellent channel balance. Pole tips made from an iron-cobalt alloy improve conductivity, positively affecting the sound quality.
The output voltage is 0.5 mV, and the frequency response of the cartridge ranges from 20 to 20,000 Hz. The recommended tracking force for the needle is 2.5 g. It is advisable to use a phono preamp with an input impedance of 50 to 200 Ohms for this MC cartridge.
