The ELAC Miracord 50 is built to deliver exceptional quality vinyl records. Inspired by the iconic Miracord name from the "golden age of stereo" when turntables dominated the scene, the Miracord 50 features an elaborate design with a belt-driven motor and die-cast aluminum platter. Precision statically balanced, straight-tube, detachable tonearm is equipped with a factory-installed MM phono cartridge. Designed with convenience in mind, the Miracord 50 features a built-in switchable phono preamp, allowing you to connect this player to virtually any music system.
Manual player
The Miracord 50 is a manual player, meaning you place the stylus on the record by hand, giving you complete control over vinyl playback. The cast aluminum rim is rotated by a belt driven motor. The belt-driven motor, isolated from the platter, minimizes vibrations transmitted to the tonearm. The Miracord 50 features a statically balanced aluminum tube tonearm with anti-skate adjustment to prevent slippage. At the end of the tonearm is an Audio-Technica AT91 (MM) cartridge with a moving magnet and a diamond stylus. A removable dust cover is provided to keep the player clean.
Less extra noise
For the Miracord 50, ELAC has developed a stable, isolated chassis that is designed to minimize wah and flutter effects and prevent vibration and feedback from passing through the arm and affecting the music. To achieve this, ELAC uses a combination of technologies such as a low-noise DC servo motor, a high-inertia aluminum platter, a special rubber record mat, and a belt drive system rubber belt.
