The Rega Planar 3 RS Nd5 (Black) turntable is a special edition based on the iconic Planar 3 model, utilizing advanced technologies and modern materials.
The main feature of this model is the ultra-rigid aluminum plinth with High Pressure Laminate (HPL) lamination, which provides exceptional stiffness. This type of lamination was previously used only in higher-end models like Planar 6, 8, and 10, allowing for new heights in sound quality. The plinth is finished in a dark metallic color with a satin matte finish, and its edges are accented with gloss black, giving the turntable an elegant appearance.
Rega Planar 3 RS Nd5 is equipped with a precision RB330 tonearm, hand-assembled, and a new Nd5 moving magnet cartridge, ensuring excellent sound reproduction with an elliptical diamond stylus. This turntable also comes with the Neo MK2 PSU power supply, providing electronic speed adjustment and reducing vibrations and noise.
The turntable also features a low-noise 24V motor with improved control and anti-vibration system. For user convenience, there is an option to connect an additional Neo PSU power supply to change the rotation speed of the vinyl.
Additionally, Planar 3 comes with a 12mm polished glass platter, new feet for enhanced stability, a dust cover, and an updated subplatter.
