Elvis Presley is an American singer and actor, one of the most commercially successful performers of popular music of the 20th century. Also known as "the king of rock and roll" (or simply "the king" - The King). Presley popularized rock and roll, although he was not the first artist in this genre. He combined the styles of country and blues, giving birth to a new style of music - rockabilly, which includes his first recordings on Sun Records in the mid-1950s. Infusing elements of gospel and pop into his style, Presley went beyond rockabilly and achieved world popularity (hits "Heartbreak Hotel", "Don't Be Cruel", "Hound Dog" and others). In 1956, he made his film debut ("Love me tenderly").
"Christmas with Elvis and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra" is an album that combines classic Christmas songs with the unsurpassed voice of Elvis Presley and masterful arrangements by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Released in 2017, this album combines Presley's archival vocal recordings with new orchestral arrangements to create a spectacular symphony of Christmas cheer.
