Description

Jan Lisiecki is a Polish-born classical pianist born on March 23, 1995 in Calgary, Canada. He started playing music at the age of five and made his debut with an orchestra at the age of nine. Every year he gives more than a hundred concerts and collaborates with the world's leading orchestras and conductors. Since the age of 15, he has been an artist of Deutsche Grammophon. His first album for Deutsche Grammophon, released in April 2012, was nominated for a 2013 Juno Award in the Classical Album of the Year category.

Jan Lisiecki offers a performance of all of Chopin's nocturnes in the album "Chopin: Complete Nocturnes". Lisiecki focuses on recreating the intimacy and melody of these works, emphasizing lightness and grace, rather than the dramatic elements often used by other pianists. His performance is distinguished by grace, calmness and a special charm that permeates every nocturne. His interpretation can even put listeners into a hypnotic state, especially in his rendition of Nocturne No. 2 in F-sharp major (track 5) and the slow rendition of Nocturne No. 1 in C minor, Op. 48.

The album contains 2 LPs with 21 tracks.
