Scorpions is a German rock band founded in 1965 in Hanover. The period from 1978 to 1992 was successful. In those days, the band consisted of Klaus Meine, Rudolf Schenker, Matthias Jabs, Francis Buchholz and Hermann Rarebell. The band changed its style from hard rock to melodic heavy metal under the influence of Yabs and producer Dieter Dirks. Having achieved commercial success, they released several platinum albums and climbed to the top of the charts in both Germany and the US. The band released thirteen studio albums that were in the top 10 in Germany, one of which reached #1, as well as three consecutive albums that were in the top 10 on the US Billboard 200.

"Rock Believer" is the nineteenth studio album by Scorpions, released in 2022. The band's first album with drummer Mickey Dee, it is also their first studio release in seven years. The creation process took over three years and included songwriting beginning in 2019 and recording at Peppermint Park Studios in Hanover. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, recordings took place remotely in Germany, with producer Greg Fidelman participating via Zoom. The first single "Peacemaker" was released in September 2021. The album features a diverse list of songs that represent the band's modern sound and energy.
