Lil Wayne, also known as Dwayne Michael Carter Jr. is an American rapper, singer and songwriter who is considered one of the most influential hip-hop artists of his generation. He gained wide recognition as a member of the Hot Boys group under Cash Money Records. Later, as a solo artist, Lil Wayne achieved phenomenal success, selling millions of albums worldwide. His 2008 album "Tha Carter III" is considered a classic of the genre, and his fast, witty style of rapping has had a great influence on modern hip-hop. Lil Wayne has collaborated with many famous artists, and his songs contain both serious themes and lighthearted punchlines. He also founded his own label, Young Money Entertainment, paving the way for other hip-hop stars such as Drake and Nicki Minaj.
I Am Music, released on March 31, 2023, was Lil Wayne's first greatest hits album.
