Arctic Monkeys is a British rock band formed in 2002 in Sheffield. The band consists of lead singer Alex Turner, drummer Matt Helders, guitarist Jamie Cook, and bassist Nick O'Malley. They were one of the first musical acts to gain attention through the internet. Their debut album, Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not (2006), received widespread acclaim and became the fastest-selling debut album in UK chart history at the time. The band has won several awards, including three Brit Awards, and has been nominated for the Mercury Prize and Grammy. They achieved international recognition with the album AM (2013), which became a global hit.

AM is the fifth studio album by British band Arctic Monkeys, released on September 9, 2013. The album blends psychedelic rock, blues, hard rock, metal, R&B, funk, and even elements of hip-hop. This is the band's first album where they experiment with a new sound, incorporating organ, piano, and vintage drums. Lyrically, the album deals with themes of frustration in romance, loneliness, and sexual relationships. AM became commercially successful, topping charts in several countries, including the UK and the US. One of its biggest hits was the single "Do I Wanna Know?". The album received critical acclaim and earned multiple awards, including the Brit Award for British Album of the Year.
