The Black Eyed Peas is an American music group consisting of rappers will.i.am, apl.de.ap, and Taboo. At the height of their popularity in the 2000s, they were joined by Fergie, who replaced Kim Hill in 2002. Initially, the group was known as an alternative hip-hop group, but over time their style transformed into a more commercial pop-rap. The band's first big success was the single "Where Is the Love?" from the album "Elephunk" (2003), which topped the charts in 13 countries, including the UK. The group also gained popularity with hits such as "Boom Boom Pow" and "I Gotta Feeling". During their career, they received numerous awards, including the prestigious Grammy Awards. After a hiatus in 2011, the Black Eyed Peas returned to the music scene in 2015. Their songs are characterized by a combination of different styles such as hip-hop, dance music and pop.
"Behind the Front" is the debut studio album by the American hip-hop group Black Eyed Peas, which was released on June 30, 1998. Most of the tracks on the album were originally demos for the Grass Roots album, with verses added by new band member Taboo. The song "Joints & Jam" appeared on the soundtrack to the film "Bulworth", where it was credited as "Joints & Jams". In addition, the track "Be Free" can be heard in the movie "All the Dudes Love Me".
