Blink-182 is an American rock band formed in Poway, California in 1992. The band's most notable lineup includes bassist and vocalist Mark Hoppus, guitarist and vocalist Tom DeLong, and drummer Travis Barker. Described as pop punk, their musical style combines catchy pop tunes with fast-paced punk rock. The band grew out of the suburban Southern California punk scene and initially gained popularity for their high-energy shows and off-the-cuff humor. After years of independent recording and touring, including appearances on the Warped Tour, the band signed to MCA Records. Their third and fourth albums, "Enema of the State" (1999) and "Take Off Your Pants and Jacket" (2001), achieved their greatest commercial success, and their singles "All the Small Things", "Dammit" and "What's My Age Again?” became hits.

Greatest Hits is the first greatest hits album by American rock band Blink-182. It was released on October 31, 2005 by Geffen Records, shortly after the band broke up in February 2005. Greatest Hits includes the band's most successful singles such as "Dammit", "What's My Age Again?", "All the Small Things", "The Rock Show", "First Date", "Feeling This" and "I Miss You". The album also includes one new song and a track that was not included on the album. "Not Now", recorded during the sessions for the Blink-182 album (and originally released as a bonus track on the UK version of the Blink-182 album), was released as the lead single from the album. Greatest Hits peaked at number 6 on the Billboard 200 chart.
