Boombox is a Ukrainian band founded in 2004 in Kyiv. Main members: vocalist Andriy Khlyvnyuk, guitarist Andriy Samoilo (known as "Mukha") and DJ Valik. They play in the styles of hip-hop, funk and funky grooves. The debut album "Melomania" was recorded in a record 19 hours and was released in 2005. Their next album "Family Business" went gold, selling more than 100,000 copies. One of the band's most famous songs is "Vahteram". The band is also part of the association of independent musicians "Vdoh".
"Seredniy Vik" is the fourth studio album of the Boombox band, released in 2011. The recording of the album lasted from 2009 to 2011 and included various musical genres such as reggae, funk, rock, and grunge. This album is an important part of the band's discography as it shows their musical evolution and experimentation with different styles. On July 3, 2012, the album was also released on vinyl.
