Daniel Barenboim is an outstanding Argentine pianist and conductor. He was the principal musical director of the Berlin State Opera and conducted the Staatskapelle Berlin orchestra. He has received numerous awards, including seven Grammy Awards, the honorary title of Commander of the Order of the British Empire, the French Legion of Honour, and the Grand Cross of the German Federal Order with a star and ribbon on his shoulder.

Encores is an album released in celebration of the 80th anniversary of the renowned pianist and conductor Daniel Barenboim. It features miniature masterpieces by composers such as Albéniz, Chopin, Debussy, Liszt, Schubert, and Schumann. The album was recorded at the Pierre Boulez Saal in Berlin and marked the beginning of the celebration of Barenboim's musical legacy, starting with the release of Debussy's "Clair de lune" on December 31, 2021.
