With 45.1 million albums and 42 million tracks sold in the US as of June 2014, Eminem is the second-best-selling male artist of the Nielsen SoundScan era, the sixth overall best-selling artist in the US, and the best-selling hip-hop artist. Rolling Stone included him in its list of the 100 greatest artists of all time, calling him the King of Hip-Hop.

Music to Be Murdered By is the eleventh studio album by American rapper Eminem, released on January 17, 2020, without any prior announcement. The album's title and cover art were inspired by Alfred Hitchcock’s 1958 album of the same name. The record was executive produced by Eminem and Dr. Dre, along with a large team of other producers. It features guest appearances from Skylar Grey, Juice Wrld, Ed Sheeran, Black Thought, Anderson .Paak, Young M.A, and more. The album includes socially charged tracks, notably "Darkness", which addresses the Las Vegas mass shooting. The release debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, becoming Eminem’s tenth consecutive album to do so in the US. In December 2020, a deluxe edition — Music to Be Murdered By – Side B — was released, adding 16 new tracks.
