“Seventh Son of a Seventh Son” is the seventh studio album by Iron Maiden, released in 1988. This concept album was inspired by Orson Scott Card's novel The Seventh Son and featured the first use of keyboards and complex song structures. The lead single "Can I Play with Madness" became a commercial success, and the album itself debuted at number one in the UK charts. It is also the last recording with Adrian Smith as part of the band before his temporary departure in 1990.
