Description

George Harrison, a British musician and singer, gained worldwide fame as the guitarist of The Beatles. Harrison earned the nickname "the quiet Beatle" due to his modesty and calm demeanor. However, his contribution to music was extremely significant: he wrote such songs as "While My Guitar Gently Weeps", "Here Comes the Sun", and "Something". After the breakup of The Beatles, Harrison continued a successful solo career, releasing the landmark album "All Things Must Pass", which included the hit "My Sweet Lord". He also organized the first major charity concert for the support of Bangladesh in 1971. Harrison was known for his love of Indian culture and music, which greatly influenced his creativity and personal life.

Wonderwall Music – is George Harrison's debut solo album, released in November 1968 as the soundtrack to the film "Wonderwall" directed by Joe Massot. This album was the first solo project by a member of The Beatles and the first release on the Apple Records label. Wonderwall Music impresses with its unique blend of Indian classical music with styles such as psychedelic rock, experimental music, country, and ragtime. Harrison used the album to popularize Indian music, involving prominent Indian musicians like Ashish Khan, Shivkumar Sharma, and Shankar Ghosh. The Western parts of the compositions include contributions from Eric Clapton and Ringo Starr. "Wonderwall Music" is considered an innovative album that predicted the trends of global music in the 1980s, and its title inspired the British band Oasis to create their famous hit "Wonderwall".
