Khаmеrmаn Destroys Viruses is a cult Ukrainian music band founded in 1996 in Sumy. The group consists of Volodymyr Pakholiuk and Albert (Oleh) Tsukrenko, who are responsible for vocals, lyrics, and music. It originated as an experimental project within the local underground scene, when sound engineer Mykhailo Kapusta brought together musicians from various bands. KZV gained notoriety thanks to their provocative style, unorthodox sound, and satirical lyrics. They were awarded at the Chervona Ruta festival in 1999 and won the “Perlyny Sezonu” competition in 2000 in the “dance music” category. Since then, they have headlined many major Ukrainian festivals such as “Faine Misto”, “Nashatyr”, and “Zakhid Fest”.
