Richard Melville Hall, known as Moby – an American musician who played a key role in popularizing electronic dance music in the early 1990s. Starting with playing guitar and piano in his childhood, he quickly found his calling in music. His breakthrough came with the 1991 single "Go," which propelled him to success, especially in Europe. Despite creative experiments and setbacks, the album "Play" became a global hit thanks to licensing tracks for movies and commercials. He is also known for his active stance on animal rights.
Resound NYC is the 21st studio album by American musician Moby, released on May 12, 2023, by Deutsche Grammophon. The album features orchestral arrangements of songs recorded in New York City between 1994 and 2010, where Moby was born and lived. The album features collaborations with various guest vocalists. In addition to reworks of Moby's songs, the album also includes a cover of Neil Young's "Helpless."
