Nirvana is a legendary American rock band formed in 1987 in Aberdeen, Washington. They became one of the most influential music groups of the 1990s and pioneers of the "grunge" style. The band consisted of three main members: Kurt Cobain (vocals, guitar), Krist Novoselic (bass guitar), and Dave Grohl (drums), who joined the band in 1990. Despite their short existence, Nirvana left a deep mark in music history. The band disbanded in 1994 after the tragic death of Kurt Cobain. However, their influence is still felt today, and Nirvana continues to inspire new generations of musicians and listeners.

Live and Loud is a live album by American rock band Nirvana, released on September 23, 2013, to mark the 20th anniversary of their third studio album In Utero. The release includes the band's full performance on December 13, 1993, at Pier 48 in Seattle, which was initially broadcast on MTV in an abridged version. In 2019, the album was released as a standalone audio release on 180-gram vinyl, housed in a gatefold jacket with a photo insert and a replica of a backstage pass. The mix was done by Nathaniel Kunkel, and the mastering was done by Bob Ludwig. Most of the songs were written by Kurt Cobain, except for "Scentless Apprentice" (co-written with Novoselic and Grohl) and the cover of "The Man Who Sold The World" by David Bowie.
