Sam Smith was born on May 19, 1992 in London. His mother Kate Cassidy (Kate Cassidy), a major banker from the City, was fired allegedly because she spent a lot of working time helping her son develop his music career. Engaged in Youth Music Theater UK and performed in "Oh! Carol" (2007). For several years he studied singing and writing with the singer and pianist Joanna Eden. Studied at St Mary's Catholic School in Bishops Stortford. Smith is a third cousin of English singer Lily Allen and actor Alfie Allen.
