The Killers is an American rock band formed in Las Vegas in 2001 by Brandon Flowers (vocals, keyboards) and Dave Keuning (guitar). The core lineup also includes Mark Stoermer (bass) and Ronnie Vannucci Jr. (drums). The band has released seven studio albums, all of which reached number one on the UK Albums Chart, including "Hot Fuss" (2004) and "Pressure Machine" (2021). They have sold over 28 million albums worldwide and are considered one of the most successful rock bands of the 21st century.

Hot Fuss is the debut studio album by American rock band The Killers, released on June 7, 2004, in the United Kingdom and on June 15 in the United States via Island Records. The album features a sound influenced by new wave and post-punk, earning the band international acclaim with hits like “Mr. Brightside,” “Somebody Told Me,” “All These Things That I've Done,” and “Smile Like You Mean It.” Despite mixed reviews from critics, the record peaked at number seven on the Billboard 200 and topped the UK Albums Chart, achieving multi-platinum status in the US, UK, Australia, Canada, Ireland, and New Zealand. It was nominated for five Grammy Awards and has sold over 7 million copies worldwide. The Echo Farm vocal effect played a key role in the album’s sound, and the cover photo was taken in the suburbs of Beijing.
