Audio interface ESI M8U eX

The ESI M8U eX audio interface is a high-tech USB 3.0 MIDI interface of the new generation, designed for professional studios and live performances. The device became one of the first MIDI interfaces in the world with full support for the USB 3.0 standard, providing extremely fast and stable MIDI data transfer. 16 MIDI ports are implemented in one compact housing, which makes the M8U eX a universal control center for musical equipment.

Each of the 16 ports is automatically determined as an input or output thanks to the proprietary ESI MIDI Auto Detection technology. The user is free to form any configuration - from 16 inputs or 16 outputs to combined options, for example, 12 outputs and 4 inputs. Active operating modes are instantly displayed using color LED indicators on the front panel, which greatly simplifies control and setup.

ESI M8U eX also features a built-in high-speed USB 3.0 hub with three additional ports, allowing you to connect MIDI keyboards, USB keys, controllers and other equipment. If necessary, you can connect multiple interfaces to one computer at once, scaling the system to suit the needs of the studio or stage. Power is supplied both directly via USB and from the included 5V DC adapter.

The interface is fully class-compliant, so it works without installing drivers on Windows and macOS, and can also be used standalone. In standalone mode, the device functions as a MIDI Thru or MIDI Merge, allowing you to combine signals from multiple sources or distribute one MIDI signal to multiple outputs. This makes ESI M8U eX a reliable and flexible solution for any professional MIDI tasks.
