The RME Digiface Dante audio interface is a lightweight and portable device that combines the capabilities of the Dante network with all the advantages that RME is known for – USB 3.0 interface, MADI support, TotalMix FX, and operation both in computer connection mode and in offline mode.
This interface offers one headphone output, four Gigabit Ethernet ports (802.3 compatible), and one coaxial MADI input/output. Signals are transmitted via the USB 3.0 bus, providing up to 64 Dante channels and 64 MADI channels simultaneously. Thanks to the possibility of external synchronization via BNC connectors, which can be switched to MADI mode, the interface can work with a total of 128 channels in two formats.
The RME Digiface Dante is equipped with two redundant network ports, allowing the device to be used as a network switch to connect up to four network lines without additional switches. It also allows for redundant operation with a dual-port connection for the main and backup networks. Without connecting to a computer, the device automatically turns into a 64-channel Dante/MADI converter.
Thanks to the support of the USB power supply and external power supply unit, stability and reliability of operation are ensured. In addition, Digiface Dante is compatible with the AES67 protocol, which expands the possibilities of using this device in various network environments.
Digiface Dante's built-in TotalMix FX allows for virtually unlimited mixing and routing of all input and output channels and provides remote control via iOS, PC, or Mac with the TotalMix Remote. Special DigiCheck software provides measurement, testing, and analysis of digital audio streams, making this interface a versatile tool for professional audio work.
