Solid State Logic ALPHA 8 is a professional 8-channel AD/DA converter designed to seamlessly expand your audio interface via ADAT or S/PDIF, or as a full-featured 18-input/18-output USB audio interface. Equipped with the latest 32-bit converters with a sampling rate of up to 192 kHz, the ALPHA 8 delivers transparent sound with a dynamic range of up to 123 dB, incredibly low THD+N, and the complete absence of crosstalk characteristic of SSL studio-grade equipment.
Eight balanced analog inputs and outputs support individual level settings (+9, +18, +20, or +24 dBu), allowing the device to be precisely adapted to any external equipment, from modular synthesizers and mixers to the 500 series. DC-coupled outputs support CV signals for controlling modular systems, and advanced digital inputs/outputs (8 channels of ADAT, 2 channels of S/PDIF) allow flexible routing of audio between analog, digital, and USB.
The ALPHA 8 also features a powerful headphone amplifier with three modes, intuitive LED level indicators on the front panel, and Word Clock support. Its compatibility with macOS (plug and play) and Windows (via ASIO/WDM driver) ensures seamless integration into any working environment.
The package includes the SSL Production Pack software suite — a selection of plug-ins, virtual instruments, and DAWs that allow you to start working at a high level right away.
