The MOTU UltraLite-mk5 audio interface features the renowned ESS Sabre32™ DAC technology, including the ES9026PRO DAC, which delivers 125 dB dynamic range and -114 dB harmonic distortion. Thanks to its drivers, the MOTU UltraLite-mk5 delivers the most stable performance and lowest latency in the industry.
Optimized drivers for Mac and PC ensure extremely low latency. With a high-performance DAW such as Digital Performer, the UltraLite-mk5 delivers an incredible 2.4ms latency when using USB (at 96kHz with a 32-sample buffer).
The compact steel body allows you to take the MOTU UltraLite-mk5 everywhere. It's ideal for both studio and stage use, with or without a computer. Connect all your studio equipment for advanced computer-based recording and production, or use it for live mixing at concerts.
The MOTU UltraLite-mk5 offers 18 inputs and 22 outputs, providing 40 simultaneous, independent audio channels. There are 2 mic/line/instrument inputs, 6 line inputs, 10 line outputs, a headphone output, and an 8-channel optical I/O. The optical ports also support stereo TOSLink (optical S/PDIF).

The MOTU UltraLite-mk5 supports USB audio class, which ensures compatibility with iPad® and other Apple® iOS devices. Control everything with the CueMix 5™ app on your iPad or iPhone.
The MOTU UltraLite-mk5 offers convenient loopback channels for your computer or iOS device, making it easy to route your computer's output, along with the mixed live inputs from the MOTU UltraLite-mk5 itself, back to your computer. This allows you to record them into your podcasting software or stream them to the internet in real time. Streaming and podcasting has never been easier or better!
After studio recording and mixing, take the UltraLite-mk5 on the road with your laptop for mobile recording and live mixing.
The MOTU UltraLite-mk5's steel chassis can be rack-mounted with the optional rack kit. This ensures reliability for transportation and gigging. To connect two UltraLite-mk5 units in a full-size rack, use the connection kit, also sold separately.
