Audio Interface Solid State Logic SSL 12

The Solid State Logic SSL 12 is a new class of USB audio interface that offers 12 input and 8 output channels, allowing you to get studio sound effortlessly and with maximum creativity. Expanding on the capabilities of its predecessors SSL 2 and SSL 2+, the new Solid State Logic SSL 12 offers even more inputs and outputs, performance and versatility. It is fully integrated with the SSL 360° software, which functions as your SSL control room, allowing you to assign monitor settings, create independent headphone mixes, select a Loopback source, customize front panel buttons, and more.

The Solid State Logic SSL 12 features four analog preamps that provide a huge range of gain and unmatched sound quality. These preamplifiers are USB powered and combine specially selected low noise transistors with integrated circuits to deliver exceptionally low noise (-130 dBu EIN) and a wide gain range (62 dB).

The Solid State Logic SSL 12 operates at full +24 dBu levels, allowing for seamless integration with your favorite analog devices and other line-level gear. With 32-bit converters, flawless stereo tracking, and balanced outputs with over 120 dB of dynamic range, the SSL 12 provides uncompromised monitoring worthy of a high-end studio.

Solid State Logic SSL 12 provides many professional studio features typically found only in expensive rackmount interfaces. For recording, there is ADAT connectivity, a built-in microphone for talkback, and a powerful software mixer for creating up to four independent mixes with minimal latency. For mixing, monitor switching and front-panel function assignment provide everything you need for convenient work.

The SSL 360° software allows you to customize low-latency headphone mixes, select a Loopback source, and customize the assignable buttons on the Solid State Logic SSL 12 front panel. The SSL 12 Mixer virtual mixer provides intuitive headphone mix setup with independent pan, level, and mute controls for each channel.

You can customize the HP A and HP B outputs to suit your needs by choosing from three headphone modes: standard, high-sensitivity, or high impedance. Additionally, each HP output can be reconfigured as a balanced/unbalanced mono output if you need additional line outputs.

The three buttons on the front panel are initially designed to mute the monitors, switch between ALT speakers, and activate/deactivate the talkback microphone. But you can change them to any other function, such as DIM, CUT, MONO SUM, ALT, INVERT PHASE LEFT or TALKBACK, to maximize your workspace customization.
